Celebrating the life of

Margaret Milligan Vincenti

November 13, 1941 - July 14, 2019

Margaret Milligan Vincenti

SAVANNAH – Margaret A. Vincenti died in her home July 14, 2019 after a long illness. The third of the six children of Francis X. and Jeannette (Smith) Milligan, she married Ernest Vincenti in 1964, having met him in their company bowling league. Really. Originally from Queens, NY, she and Ernest lived together for 26 years in the outer boroughs of New York before retiring to Savannah in 1990 to forget snow and refine their golf games. (Ernest predeceased her in 2002). She was well known among family and friends for her sharp wit, knowledge of musical theater, generous support of charitable causes, and for her canine companion Maggie, who brought much joy in the years following Ernest’s passing.

Margaret is survived by a large family that tends to break into song without provocation. She will be missed by the families of her brothers, John (Marie, Matt, Kim, Keely, Mike, John, Karen, Ian, Charlotte) and Frank (Chris, Sean, Maureen, Olivia); sisters, Jeannette (Dennis, Jeannette, John, Elizabeth, Emily, Eva, Bob, Kim, Teagen, Joseph, Robert, Gabriella, Carol, Donald, Dennis, Sarah) and Kathleen (William, Bill, Kim, Patrick, Kevin, Gracie, Daniel, Tensent, Alemi, Scott, Danielle, Chris, Jen, Madison, Chase, Kaylynn, Amy), and brother-in-law, Ben (Marie, Adam, AJ, Alissa, Ben, Laura, Matthew, Mark, Marguerite; sister Marie predeceased her in 2018). She is also lovingly remembered by her son, David; daughter-in-law, Lynda, and three beloved granddaughters, Amanda, Jaclyn, and Natalie. Recalling Margaret’s support of so many charities, a donation to any such organization in her memory would be a most appropriate remembrance; the family recommends the American Heart Association or the Humane Society.

A memorial was held locally; Margaret will take her final resting place with Ernest in the New York City area.
